Almost thirty years have passed since Laura and I realized that our greatest desire was to go and live in the countryside.
We were not in a hurry, we began to search patiently in different areas of Central Italy. And when we met Città della Pieve we immediately felt at home.

The search was really long: on our way many real estate agents and a few beautiful houses: in truth, we did not have a clear understanding of what we were looking for. But when we saw this farmhouse we immediately decided that we would buy it.

At an altitude of 450 m. the house stands on a hill that slopes down towards the southern shore of Lake Trasimeno and Lake Chiusi. There is nothing between us and the lake that disturbs the view. Beyond the lake, Tuscany and the hills that rise towards the mountains. When the air is clear (and it often happens here also in summer) you will see Cortona and the distant Apennines.
Around the house ten thousand square meters of countryside-garden. Olive trees, a vegetable garden, the elms, a small orchard, roses, aromatic plants, limes, maples, acacias, weeping willows and the noble cypresses.
